Vacuum Therapy

Proper care following your treatment is important to ensure optimal results.

The Ultimate Guide to Vacuum Therapy: Pre and Post-Treatment Care

Vacuum therapy is a non-invasive body contouring treatment that uses suction to stimulate blood flow, improve lymphatic drainage, reduce cellulite, and lift and tone the skin. To get the most out of your sessions and maintain beautiful, long-lasting results, it’s important to follow proper before and after care.

Here’s what you need to know:

Before Your Vacuum Therapy: Preparation Tips

To ensure that your treatment is a success, there are a few things you should keep in mind before the appointment:

1. Hydrate Well

Drink at least 1.5–2 litres of water on the day of your treatment. Hydration supports lymphatic drainage and helps your body flush out toxins and broken-down fat cells effectively.

2. Avoid Heavy Meals & Alcohol

Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and large or fatty meals for 24 hours prior to your session. These can dehydrate the body and reduce treatment efficiency.

3. Clean, Healthy Skin

Arrive with clean, dry skin — free from lotions, oils, or self-tanning products. This ensures proper suction and prevents irritation.

4. Avoid Sunburn & Waxing

Refrain from sunbathing, tanning, or waxing the treatment area for at least 48 hours before your appointment to prevent skin sensitivity.

5. Wear Comfortable Clothing

Choose loose, breathable clothing to avoid pressure or friction on the treated area after your session.

6. Consult Your Therapist

Let your therapist know if you have any medical conditions, varicose veins, skin issues, or implants in the area to be treated.

After Your Vacuum Therapy: Post-Treatment Care

1. Stay Hydrated

Continue to drink plenty of water (2 litres daily) for at least 24–48 hours post-treatment. This helps your body eliminate toxins and supports the lymphatic system.

2. Avoid Heat & Intense Exercise

Skip hot baths, saunas, or strenuous workouts for 24 hours after your treatment. Excess heat can irritate the skin and counteract the toning effects.

3. Moisturize the Skin

Apply a gentle moisturizer or aloe vera gel to soothe and hydrate the treated area. This also helps improve skin elasticity and smoothness.

4. No Waxing or Exfoliating

Avoid waxing, scrubbing, or exfoliating the treated area for 3–5 days post-treatment to prevent irritation and maintain smooth results.

5. Light Massage Helps

Gently massage the treated area or perform light stretching to promote circulation and lymphatic drainage, enhancing your overall results.

6. Healthy Lifestyle

Combine vacuum therapy with balanced nutrition, regular exercise, and adequate hydration to maintain your sculpted and toned appearance long-term.

Results and Maintenance

  • Frequency: For best results, a series of 6–10 sessions, spaced 1–2 times per week, is recommended

  • Results: You may notice improved firmness, smoother skin, and reduced cellulite after just a few sessions, with continued improvement over time.

  • Maintenance: Monthly touch-up sessions help maintain your contouring results.

Important Notes

  • Vacuum therapy is not recommended for individuals who are pregnant, have skin infections, open wounds, or serious health conditions affecting circulation.

  • Mild redness or warmth in the treated area is normal and usually subsides within a few hours.
